Your “I’m Busting Out of 9 to 5” Checklist
Many of you probably know that I’m running a telesummit right now called The Millionaire Mama: How to Ditch the 9 to 5 Job and Build a Wildly Successful Business You Love. (Yes, you can join in! Get access at www.themillionairemama.com.) Here are my top tips for busting out of 9 to 5:
Get moving, literally. Go to the gym and start going regularly. Over time the head clearing and problem solving you face when working out (I have to move that weight, really??!!!) will really help you to deal with the stress and the decision making you will face as an entrepreneur. Remember to get your doc’s approval before you take off on the treadmill, though!
Start building a social media base. Social media does not build overnight. That is the reason you need to start today, now, immediately! Try to post to two-ish sites about three times a week and make sure to start following other people as well. Don’t forget about LinkedIn – it is amazing for business!
Know that you need to know your niche, but maybe not today. Businesses are a bit like a meandering river over time. (Listen to my interview with Melissa Bolton of www.themogulmom.com for great info!) You may start off with one focus and it may alter over time. That is okay. Really.
