Do Your Best, Forget the Rest
A couple years ago I was doing the P90X program by Tony Horton. Over and over again, he said (of course at the moment I couldn’t complete an exercise), “do your best and forget the rest.”
What a great thought for every entrepreneur.
We can get completely stalled out by things that didn’t go perfectly. Perfection is the enemy of progress. Will you get everything right? Will your first product launch go just the way you had hoped? Or how about the advice that you gave to a client that just didn’t sit right with you afterward?
In some cases, there is repair work to do. In most others, we have to let it go. When we do our best on a daily basis, planning carefully, looking at an overall strategy instead of numerous tactics and we care for our community, we are on the right path. We won’t get it right every time. The quickest way to move forward is to simply move forward. Stop analyzing. Stop feeling guilty and get moving.
